AYURVEDA INTENSIVE COURSE (17 DAYS)


A three week intensive course to learn the therapeutic benefits of using traditional yoga asanas for common ailments such as diabetics, obesity, back pain, high and low blood pressure, heart disease, mental stress, etc.

Our 17 day certified course shows how to integrate various yoga-based healing modalities into a system well-suited for helping individuals recovering from injury or illness. These techniques help bring the various systems within the body into balance, and help produce a state of mind that is greatly conducive to the healing process.

This course on Therapeutic Yoga and Ayurveda is suitable for yoga teachers, nurses, doctors, acupuncturists, and other health care professionals and helps them to integrate therapeutic yoga into their professions.

Participants in this program will learn specific yoga protocols through daily practice, classes and clinical observation. The style of yoga is designed to be accessible to all patients, regardless of physical condition, addressing patients' physical, mental and emotional condition. Participants will gain new tools for intervention, treatment, and health and wellness programs which integrate seamlessly with standard physical therapy protocols. The program includes daily yoga practice, lectures, clinical observation, and instruction in protocols for specific physical and medical conditions. Instruction will be provided in theory of yoga, integration with medical practice, asana (yoga positions), pranayama (breathing techniques), kriya (cleansing techniques), ayurveda techniques and meditation.

The techniques and information taught include:

♣ Human anatomy and physiology as it applies to yoga
♣ Introduction to Ayurveda
♣ Importance of yogic diet in the treatment of various diseases
♣ Therapeutic benefits of yoga
♣ Clinical observation
♣ Yoga asana practices, kriyas, guided meditation, breathing practice, etc.
♣ Hands-on adjustments


Daily schedule

♣ 09.00-09.30 am – Mantra chanting
♣ 09.30-11.30 am – Clinical yoga theory/Clinical observation
♣ 11.30-12.30 am – Lunch Break
♣ 12.30-02.30 pm – Anatomy & Physiology/Ayurveda and diet
♣ 02.30-02.45 pm –Break
♣ 02.45-04.30 pm – Lecture/yoga asana practice
♣ 04.30-05.00 pm – Tea break

Delicious ayurvedic vegetarian meals will be provided during class hours in the yoga school.

Fees : Total fee for the program is US$ 1850, which includes the course fee, accommodation (shared), airport pick up, food during class hours, and field trips to additional institutions and sites.

Accommodation : Accommodation of the students will be arranged in nearby exquisite home stays. Both single and shared rooms with attached bathroom are available.

Eligibility to apply : Practising yoga consistently for a minimum of 1 year. Preference will be given to students with Yoga TTC certification. A maximum of only 10 students will be taken per batch.

Location : Santhi Yoga Teacher Training Institute is located in Trivandrum, kerala. Trivandrum has an international airport. Major public and private (including a number of international airlines) operate regular flights to and from Trivandrum. Many Indian cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kochi are well connected to Trivandrum.

Payment Information : A non-refundable deposit ($400 USD) is due with your application. In the event payment is submitted and the training is full, or your registration not accepted, the deposit will be refunded.

Balance due: Payment in full is due before two months of the beginning of the course

Late Registrations : If you are registering after the balance due date, the full tuition is due with your application to reserve your space. Payment has to be made by bank transfer.
